Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 2026
We believe in being fully transparent about how we make money. This page explains what affiliate links are, how we label them, and how they relate to our independent reviews.
What are affiliate links?
An affiliate link is a link to an external platform where we may earn a commission if you click through and, for example, sign up or subscribe. It costs you nothing extra — the commission is paid by the platform, not by you.
How we label them
In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and Swedish marketing law (marknadsföringslagen), which require advertising to be clearly identifiable, we clearly label everything commercial:
- Pages with affiliate links carry a clear disclosure near the top.
- Buttons and links that lead to a partner are marked "Ad" or "Visit".
- Our footer states on every page that the site contains affiliate links.
The goal is that you can always tell editorial content from a commercial link.
How it affects our reviews
It doesn't. Our ratings and rankings are based on the criteria on our how we rank page, not on which platform pays us most. We aim to be honest about both the pros and cons of every platform. We're editorially independent; our ratings are not for sale.
Why we use affiliate links
Affiliate links let us keep the site free and continue testing and updating our content. It's a common, fully lawful model for comparison and review sites.
